Girl's Guide Events: Oregon Humane Society's Doggie Dash 2012

These last few weeks have been a whirlwind of quick trips out of town, planning for upcoming things, and the day to day grind- all of this has left little time for exploring my city and for blogging! I wanted to do a quick post and also say that there are posts to come, promise!

This years Oregon Humane Society's Doggie Dash is upon is, May 12th to be exact! This event benefits OHS, which is an amazing organization that deserves our support, in 2011 alone, they found homes for over 11,000 animals.

The cost to register is $30, and you get a t-shirt, pancake breakfast and a bag of treats! Remember that the money is going to a great cause, and the pancakes don't hurt!

Since were on the topic of four-legged friends, back in September we did a post on our fave dog park, Chimney Park. Recently, Chimney Park won (by gaining the most votes from the public) a $10,000 makeover from the Portland Trailblazers and Banfield Pet Hospital of Portland. The new park is set to be unveiled September 8th and we are beyond thrilled!
